Mr. Woodman of Dover, offered a bill to reduce the salaries of the County Solicitors.
Mr. Straw of Manchester, gave notice of a bill in relation to the Amoskeag Company. Also offered a bill relative to the Concord & Portsmouth railroad, changing the track from Candia through Manchester, some three miles further, giving Manchester as well as Concord a connection with the only seaport in the State.
Mr. Coughlin of Manchester, offered a petition of E. W. Harrington and 575 others, for the passage of an act by the Legislature to enable Catholic clergymen to visit the House of Reformation, to give religious instruction to those of their faith in that Institution.
