Columbia, S. C.—The Home Demonstration Agents and officials of the South Carolina Extension Service, United States Department of Agriculture, honored Mrs. Frances Thomas with a testimonial luncheon for twenty-eight years of successful service as Home Demonstration Agent of Richland county.
She started work in 1920, her program was then limited to the conservation and preservation of foods as a recovery measure of World War I. Since that time her work grew in scope to include all phases of foods, clothing, home improvement and community activities.
