Full Text

RICHMOND, September 10.

It appears to have been ascertained beyond a doubt, that the yellow fever has made its appearance among the convicts in our Penitentiary. Seven or eight have been attacked with the disease, one of whom had died. It has hitherto been a question, whether or not the fever with which our cities have been afflicted, was imported. The circumstance of its appearance in the Penitentiary, where there was no possible chance of its being communicated from any other place, proves most incontestibly that it is of domestic origin. No unusual sickness prevails in the City at this time.--[Argus.
