Donald Vansickle Faces Court Charge in Case Between Father and Mother.
Donald Vansickle, aged 20, 603 Eleventh avenue, was arrested Saturday afternoon by the police on a charge of larceny, which was preferred by his father, A. L. Vansickle, who lives on Eighteenth avenue and Mill street.
The defendant was charged with stealing a touring car. The father charged that the son had stolen the car several days ago.
Evidence showed that the father had been separated from his wife for some time and that there had been some argument over the ownership of the machine.
The son claimed his mother held a $50 interest in the car and that the father would have to pay this amount before he would be allowed to take the auto.
Magistrate D. J. Cleland recommended that the case be taken into the county court for final settlement, and the assistant state's attorney, Edward L. Eagle, announced that no disposition of the youth's case would be made until full evidence could be given before Judge Frank Landee.
In the meantime the police are holding the automobile which A. L. Vansickle claims was stolen from him. Police will hold the machine until the county court decides on the case of young Vansickle.
