On Friday last Francis Clark, of North-Weston, Esq; High Sheriff of the County of Oxford, and his Under Sheriff, went to Oxford Castle Goal and shew'd Miss Blatchly (confin'd there for poisoning her Father) a Letter he had receiv'd from his Grace the Duke of Newcastle, one of his Majesty's Principal Secretaries of State, directing him to take particular Care of her, as it has been laid before his Majesty in Council, that it was apprehended an Escape had been form'd for her to be made out of the said Goal; whereupon she was order'd to be put in Irons, (as mention'd in our last) which was immediately done. Her Behaviour thereupon, as we are inform'd, was very composed and calm, and she continues well in Health.
