Full Text

An investigation of the reason the senate and house are not furnished with printed copies of amendments to bills will be had under a resolution offered by Senator Epperson, of Clay. The resolution requested the attorney general to begin proceedings against the State Journal company, which has the contract for printing the amendments, to collect the penalty for failure to deliver the printed amendments on time. The resolution was referred to the judiciary committee. Delay in considering bills in committee of the whole has been caused because the printed amendments have not been received from the printer. There is a penalty of $25 for each failure to return the printed amendment three days after the copy was turned over to the printer.
