WANT THE STREETS
FREE OF RUBBISH

The Civic Improvement Committee of the Board of Trade will take steps to demand that the streets of the city be kept clean. It will ask the police department to have the rubbish laws enforced. It is asserted by the committee that there are plenty of laws to provide for a cleanly city but that they are not enforced. The committee has not acted yet, as at the meeting of the Board of Trade on Thursday night new committees will be appointed. When the new committees have been appointed, the work of having such laws enforced will go on.

Employes of the Street and Sewer Department this morning began the cleaning of several streets in the various parts of the city.
