Last Tuesday Night the Merchants trading to New-England, and the other North American Colonies, met at the New England and Cape-Breton Coffee-house, behind the Royal-Exchange, and celebrated General Pepperell and Commodore Warren's glorious Success in the Reduction of Cape Breton; where the Healths of his Majesty, the Royal Family, Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, the Secretaries of State, the Duke of Bedford, and the glorious Gentlemen who were concerned in that grand Expedition, were drank; several Barrels of Beer were given to the Populace, and the whole was conducted with the greatest Decorum: Martial Musick was perform'd, a large Bonfire was made, and several Fireworks were display'd on this great Event.
