June 11. Advices from Fritzlar inform us, that the Highways in Germany, being still greatly infested with Vagabonds and Banditti (the usual Consequence of the Reforms that are making in the Troops) the greater Part of the States of the Circle of the Upper Rhine, have formed small Corps of Hussars, in order to give Chase to these Villains and disperse them. We are assured, that the City of Franckfort, in particular, is levying a Body of 25 Men for that Purpose. Every Man not something of this Kind be done in England, to render our own Roads more secure?
