Sponsorship of a community building for Henderson with funds it is hoped may be obtained from the government allotments out of the large relief appropriation, if it eventually gets through Congress, has been accepted by the Junior Woman's Club, it was stated today. Mrs. W. D. Payne, who is leader for the group, has approached Mayor Irvine B. Watkins for his cooperation in furthering the plan, and the mayor has agreed to assist the club members in preparing the necessary blanks to be filed with the State office of the Federal Public Works Administration at Chapel Hill, in charge of Dr. H. G. Baity Other organizations are expected to give their cooperation in the movement, to the end that facilities might be had for the numerous organizations that exist in the city.
