Full Text
The Cumberland News, of Wednesday, speaking of the result of the Democratic nominating convention of Allegany county, says: "After all the talk of what splendid things were to be done by the Democratic party of the county, their convention yesterday was about the biggest failure on record. Professing party dissatisfaction with the Republican county ticket that a good Democratic ticket would sweep the county, they went to work and after many hours of hard labor deliberately nominated a ticket probably never equalled for weakness in the history of the county, and which insures the election of ours."
