Paid Taxes Too Late.

Poll taxes paid after the first Saturday preceding the first Monday in July are of no value as a qualification to vote, according to Attorney General William F. Kirby, who was called on to decide this question Wednesday. It appears that in an Arkansas county about 600 poll taxes were paid at one time on July 6, of the present year, and it is held by the attorney general that poll tax receipts issued for these payments will not entitle the holders to vote in the coming general election.
