English Hears Dr. Lynette S. Bickers

Dr. Lynette Saine Bickers was guest speaker Thursday when the fourth grade teachers at English Avenue presented their culminating activities for their Language Arts evaluation at the monthly professional meeting.

After the devotional period led by Mrs. R. A. Sutton, the Flute Choir and Harmony Band rendered selections and Mrs. N. T. Humphrey sang "Morning". Miss B. R. Bogan introduced the speaker who presented the group with materials and helpful hints on reading.

Dr. Bickers stressed the importance of group level reading but felt that the teacher should be well balanced in her approach. Mrs. L. H. Wright presented Dr. Bickers with a token of appreciation for her coming. Refreshments were served.
