The Rev'd Mr. Whitefield has presented a Memorial to the Governor and Council of the Province of Georgia, setting forth, The many salutary Purposes that would attend the establishing a proper Seminary or COLLEGE for the Education of young Gentlemen; --and at the same Time praying a Grant of 2000 Acres of Land, the better to enable the Maintaining a President and Professors. And we hear he has received a very favourable Answer.

The Place he intends to convert into this new Academy, is the Orphan House, which he erected some Years ago, for bringing up poor distressed Children.
