PARIS, Nov. 22. (U.P.)—France is resigned to making her debt payment December 15, it was indicated today in the Paris press as President Hoover and Governor Roosevelt prepared for their meeting at Washington.
The majority of French newspaper correspondents in New York agreed that Washington would decline to postpone the London and Paris payments, but considered it likely the American government would reconsider the situation after the next payments are made.
Le Journal said France did not believe President Hoover would "forget his moral promise to Paris" meaning that the President had implied an extension of the Hoover moratorium, "nor will congress be indifferent to repercussions if the December payments are insisted upon."
