Himes, of Kinzers, this county, who alleges that Kennedy forged the name of W. M. Tinsley to a promissory note for $489.50 and induced Himes to give him the money for it. It is asserted that Kennedy had never seen Tinsley, and had no acquaintance with him whatever. Kennedy, who is a young man of good family, formerly enjoyed great social and political prominence. A few years ago he made an unsuccessful campaign for the district attorneyship, during which he spent large sums of money. This, it is alleged, he obtained by defrauding his clients.
