Full Text

From Leghorn they tell us, that the Corsicans had delivered in a new Memorial to the French General, to let him know, That they found it absolutely impossible for them to resolve to live under the Domination of the Genoese; but still to shew that they would not behave themselves as Mutineers or Revolters, they were ready to submit to any other Power whatever that wou'd receive them. This is all French, but it is not clear Legerdemain: It is too barefac'd, and shews what Opinion France has of the Penetration and Courage of some of her Neighbours.
