It is understood that the nomination of Jas. Cooley, of Ohio, to be Charge des Affairs to Peru, and that of John James Appleton, to be Charge des Affairs to Sweden, were yesterday confirmed by the Senate. The nomination J. F. Hamtramck, to be Indian Agent to the Osage Indians, was also confirmed yesterday.—Natl. Int.

We have great pleasure in stating to our readers that, as is reported, and as we believe, Albert Gallatin was yesterday nominated to the Senate by the President, for the appointment of Minister of the United States to Great Britain, vice Mr. King, resigned.

We learn, that the appointment of Judge Trimble of Kentucky, to be an Associate Judge of the supreme Court, was yesterday confirmed by the Senate.
