Captain Geraghly, of the British schr. Helen, on his passage from Trinidad and Montserrat to the port of Baltimore, observed in latitude 36 24 N. and longitude 74 15 W. a curious STAR in the north quarter, shooting E. S. E. being visible one hour. The star had a very long tail, which gradually became invisible until the star was totally obscured. This must have been observed between the 7th and 16th November, about which time a considerable gale pervaded that latitude and longitude.
