Secret of Military Success.—The victories of the German armies have been the subject of a series of lectures before the students of the Military School at Cassel. The lecturer attributed the success of the German armies to the efforts exerted by the commanders to secure the offensive, and to constantly keep the initiative of military movements in their own hands. In this way, the moral force of attack is increased with every successful action, while the consciousness of being on the defensive depresses the other army.
