Will Be Brought Back From Italy For Trial
(By Associated Press.)
Bologna, Italy, June 23.—Alfredo Cocchi confessed to the Italian authorities today that he murdered Ruth Cruger in New York. He said he murdered the girl in a furious fit of jealousy because he failed to win her love.
Cocchi's admission was made during a breakdown which followed searching questions by Judge Zucconi.
Cocchi, who previously had coolly maintained his innocence, began to weep during the questioning and appeared almost as having an epileptic fit.
He signed a confession later. He said he was glad to have cleared his conscience.

(By Associated Press.)
New York, June 23.—Police Commissioner Woods said he was glad to learn that Cocchi had confessed but wanted him brought back here for something else besides his trial as he wanted to find out from Cocchi if he had any accomplices among the police.
