Full Text
By a gentleman who left Philadelphia on the 17th instant, we are informed, that the President of the United States has been pleased to respite the execution of Mitchell and Vigol, until next November.
There is a report in circulation that David Bradford is apprehended at New-Orleans, and will be delivered up to our government— should this be the case, there is some prospect that the lives of those unfortunate men may be saved—for we presume, that if Bradford, or any other, could be brought forward at the next circuit court in October, and convicted of being more active in the late insurrection, the President might be induced to grant a pardon to Mitchell and Vigol, as they cannot be considered principals in that business.
