Full Text

The election of delegates to the republican convention at Harrisburg closed Saturday with the choice of Grant delegates at Pittsburg, and the completed roll of delegates from the state shows that Don Cameron has an overwhelming majority in the convention. Conflicting reports prevail as to the course he will follow Wednesday at Harrisburg. It appears to be conceded that about 50 Blaine delegates have been elected, with 45 more from Philadelphia, under the lead of James McManes, who oppose instructions for Grant without proposing any candidate themselves, although they are talked of as Sherman men.
