Third School

Longwood's third summer course, a six-week session for graduate and advanced undergraduate students begins on June 30.

The six and eight week courses both end on August 9 when the summer commencement activities begin.

Dean Earl R. Boggs reports that the college's summer program is planned for numerous groups: students working toward a bachelor's and master's degrees; teachers studying to renew, validate or improve certificates, and undergraduates who wish to speed up their regular session programs.

Subject Fields

Subjects taught this summer will be in the fields of art, biology, business education, chemistry, education, English, general science, geography, government, health and physical education, history, home economics, library science, mathematics, music, philosophy, psychology and sociology.

Dean Boggs said today the college cannot accurately determine enrollments for the various schools until after the sessions start. Students may register up to the start of classes and figures do not firm until after that time.
