Full Text

The incendiaries are still busy at Newburyport. Their fourth attempt to fire that town partially succeeded on Tuesday evening last. About half past 9 o'clock fire was discovered in the upper story of the building in Market Square, a part of which is occupied as the office of the Newburyport Herald, but its progress was fortunately arrested by the spirited exertions of the citizens. We cannot too earnestly caution our citizens to be on their guard. The same diabolical attempts have been practiced upon others— and we know not how soon we too may be marked for destruction.
