History seems to agree in two important points concerning the American Revolution—First, that American Independence was gained through the fall of Yorktown, and second, that the troops of Cornwallis marched out to the tune of "The World Turned Upside Down." And the world has never been so terribly turned upside down since then until this year of 1902. This is to be a marker in this line, it seems. In fact the bottom seems falling out of the top, so to speak.
Everywhere and every day we hear of earthquakes and volcanoes running all over themselves. Craters that have not been in business for near a century are again doing business "at the old stand."
From Vesuvius, in Italy, to Old Momotombo, in Central America, these old craters are spouting and brimming over. And we are not going to be outdone in the business. We are "brimming over" with bargains and we want to "spout" about it too. We never carried bigger stocks of seasonable goods and we want you to come and get your share of the good things.
