Three Jailed In Gambling Raids

Three persons were jailed today on gambling charges in raids personally conducted by Police Chief Bienvenido Perez.

Released on $100 bond each were Julio Casado and Ivan Saunders. Casado was picked up in the Campana Club, Truman Ave. and Watson St., while Saunders was taken from a room in the rear of the Sports Center Bar, Fleming St., police said.

The third person jailed was identified by police as Floyd Sweeting, who was arrested in the Two Door pool room, Petronia St.

Chief Perez said that the three men were found with gambling paraphernalia, including punch boards and tip boards, in their possession. They were scheduled to be arraigned in city court this afternoon.
