EVERYTHING GOING UP, BUT WAGES
It's no surprise at all to me, to find the public rages
Since everything is going up, yes! Everything but wages.
The rich men all are getting sore, because of increased taxes.
The poor man feeling most the "pinch", of course his anger waxes.
It surely is a sorry world, with all its human wrongs.
And difficult to place the blame just where the blame belongs.
It's hard to get these profiteers, their profits to dis-gorge
For everyone will shift the blame, and put it back on George.
"If happy days ARE here again," with prosperous times in view
Then the Public's share is mighty slim, so it must be for the few.
With foods all up, and rents advanced, some trouble it pre-sages,
So you'll agree, I think with me, It's time they raised our wages.
