NEW YORK, Sept 13.

Destructive Fire.—A fire broke out at half past 7 o'clock this morning in a stable in the rear of John H. Frederick's bakery, 86 Vandam st., and was driven by a north-west wind towards the corner of Spring and Hudson streets. The whole block on the west side of Hudson street, between Spring and Vandam streets, (excepting the grocery of Mr. B. Mellick, corner of Hudson and Vandam,) and the six first buildings on the south side of Spring street, from Hudson towards Greenwich street, together with all the back buildings on the square as far as Renwick street, are burnt to the ground. Two other houses on Spring street and one on Vandam street are stripped of their roofs and contents. The first floors of the front buildings were occupied as shops; the upper parts and several of the back buildings being inhabited by families, who have saved but a small portion of their effects.

We have heard of no lives being lost.
