SLAVE EXCITEMENT IN ALEXANDRIA.
Alexandria, May 28—Great excitement exists in Alexandria in regard to the riot in Boston. Popular excitement is especially directed against Senator Sumner and Mr. Giddings, and one or two other members.
President Pierce is determined to have the law enforced with alacrity if not with cheerfulness, and there is reason to believe that he has transmitted orders for sufficient force to sustain the civil power in Boston, and to secure the slave, if given up to his master, at all hazards.
