The Nome public schools opened Monday morning with an attendance of pupils the largest on opening day in the school history of the town. The enrollment was 125.
Principal Jarvis immediately proceeded to get the different departments into working shape. The assignments of teachers follows: High school, Miss Blodgett: eighth and seventh grades, Miss Sutherland: sixth and fifth grades, Miss Joyce: fourth and third grades, Miss Hayes: second and first grades, Miss Kruse: physical culture and music, Miss Longacre.
