The following declaration, the endorsement of which will be very general, accompanies the call:
"Believing that a crisis, forced by the power of organized greed, is approaching, not alone in our national affairs, but in civilization itself, we appeal to the freemen of America to organize themselves anew to stand again as they and their fathers have stood before, for the rights of man and the dignity of human nature."

A call signed by well-known Anti-Monopolists from all parts of the country for a Delegate Conference to form a new party was issued at Chicago on Friday last. The conference will be held on the 4th of July with four representatives from each Congressional District, four from each Territory, and four from the District of Columbia. Principles include opposition to confederated monopoly, public lands for actual settlers, suppression of corners in the necessaries of life, opposition to the protective tariff, and favoring direct election of President, Vice President, and Senators. The call is signed by Californians including F. W. Hamilton, President of the Anti-Monopoly Club of San Francisco; John T. Doyle of Menlo Park, Cal.; Dr. George Houston, President Anti-Monopoly League of California; Almarin G. Paul, Horace Adams, Moses G. Cobb, Robert Wilson, Alvin C. Turner of San Francisco, and 70 others. Accompanied by a declaration believing a crisis forced by organized greed is approaching in national affairs and civilization, appealing to freemen of America to organize anew for the rights of man and dignity of human nature.
