Firemen's Dependent Board Is Organized

The Caldwell volunteer firemen's dependent board has been organized here, according to the new state law with Harry A. Semon and Charles Bradon, Jr., representing the Caldwell fire department on the board. According to law, two members elected by legislative authority of the village can serve on this board and this could mean any member of the Caldwell council. At Tuesday night's meeting, the firemen's dependent fund board was explained to the council and Mayor Chester J. Howiler appointed Homer Johnson and Donald D. Nichols to serve. The four members will serve only during the remainder of this year when another board will be elected. The fifth member of the board is to be selected by the remaining four appointed and this will be announced at a later date.
