On Sunday a man was brought to town from New York: he calls himself David Smith, and has been concern'd in committing divers robberies in this city; it seems he had taken a horse, and resided for some time past in New-Jersey, where he conveyed stolen goods from time to time; but being suspected from his not knowing how to sell them, he tho't proper to move off. He was however pursued and taken up at New-York, with a great quantity of goods, which are brought back, and most of them have been owned by the different people from whom they were taken; he is now confined in our goal.
