3 Naco Gambling Houses Closed By Officials Sunday
The three gambling establishments at Naco, the White House, the American Club and "The Chinks' Place," were raided and closed Sunday night, at about midnight, by federal officers from Cananea. The officers entered the places while gambling was in full swing, and, with drawn guns, made the patrons of the places leave while they confiscated all the money in sight.

The Chinamen were the only ones to escape, as they, it seems, had received a tip of what was coming and had closed up their place. In some cases the gamblers were allowed to cash in their chips. The proprietors were given receipts for the money taken.

The gambling places did not reopen last night, but a delegation of proprietors went to Cananea to confer with the authorities there relative to opening again.
