Assailant Jumps From Train and Succeeds in Escaping.

Fort Arthur, Nov. 6. - Spencer White, a Negro, and another Negro employed by the Gulf Refining company, became involved in a quarrel while aboard the work train which runs out of the plant. The result was that White was cut in the back with a jack-knife, which will probably cause his death. He was also cut across the scalp four times, in the leg and also in the side, all of which are very ugly wounds. His assailant jumped from the moving train and made his escape.
