THE SUPPORT OF GOVERNMENT.

We intended to talk over political matters this week. There is plenty to be said. But we are tired of politics and we guess that everyone else is. It has been a long, drawn out campaign, full of many of the things which make politics distasteful to the voters and disappointing to the candidates.

The people of Minnesota have told what they wished. They have spoken with cross marks. The public is generally to be commended. The vote shows discrimination and when voters think there is always safe government.

It is a fact that our government, local, state and national is gradually improving. The future is one of security and promise. To those elected to office we must give support until the next election rolls around. At that time we may change them or keep them. As candidates we are under no obligations, but when candidates become public servants they need and should have the support of all citizens.
