Full Text

GOOD CITIZENS.

Blessed are those Brooksville citizens who plant trees and shrubs in their yards and along our streets, for future generations will enjoy their thoughtfulness. Blessed are they who appreciate God's gift of birds and flowers and who encourage their growth. Blessed are they who scatter flower seed and keep others from destroying the wild flowers along the roadsides.

Blessed are they who banish billboards from their property, for they are protectors of outdoor beauty. Blessed are they who keep their property in repair and their houses painted for they beautify the town in which they live. Blessed are they who speak well of schools and churches, and of the men and women who give them their support. Blessed are they who greet the stranger with a smile and their neighbors with a handshake.

Blessed are they who do all these things, for there shall be joy and happiness in their hearts the whole year round.
