Burned To Death!--One of the saddest and most terrible deaths by burning, that it has ever become our duty to record, was that of a little boy, child of a Mr. Histenrether, who lives on the farm of Mr. Joseph Shaw, about one mile below this place. The mother and child were the only two persons at the house, on that evening. and when the time came, the former went a short distance away to milk the cows, and left the child alone at the house. She finished milking and returned to the house, as usual, but upon coming to the door, was horror stricken to see her child lying upon the floor, literally burnt to a crisp.— With the exception of a narrow band around each little wrist, not a single mite of clothing remained upon the body. The little child was still alive when found, but within a very short time its spirit had flown to that home where suffering will never come. It is supposed, as no positive evidence could be found, that the child had been playing about the stove with a stick and set fire to its clothing. It was about eighteen months of age.
