A LARGE number of mining men from the South Pass country have been in Lander during the past week, and each of these speak encouragingly of the prospects in their camps. These reports give the average citizen of the county no little satisfaction. If Lander is ever to become a city of importance, our gold mines and oil wells will accomplish it. The development of the gold mines and the oil wells means a home market for our farm produce. If this country is ever to be built up it must be developed from within.
