For the Morning Star.

The winter session of the Windsor Q. M. was holden with the first church in Whitefield, on the 23d, 24th, and 25th of January. The churches were generally represented as being in rather a low state as to the life and power of religion, but still we hope there is a spirit of perseverance, that will finally triumph. There has been, however, some reformation in the church in Augusta, and seven have been added. The work of the Lord appears to be going on there still. There is also an increasing anxiety that the gospel may be supported by some regular system, and we hope the time is not far distant when it will be accomplished. The meetings of worship were solemn and interesting. There was preaching during the meeting by Elders T. Cunningham, O. W. Bridges, T. Johnson, H. Hobbs, L. Norton, and R. Kelly. A heavenly season was enjoyed, and we trust a new impulse given to the work of God. Eternity, we hope, will exhibit ripe and mature fruit from seed sown on this occasion. The Elders who were present from other Q. M's. were cordially received. May the Lord reward them abundantly for their labors of love, and all others who labor in the Gospel. The servants of the Lord were assisted in speaking, and the people edified in hearing. May the Lord reward the good people in Whitefield for their hospitality. The next term of the Windsor Q. M. is to be holden at the north meeting house in Windsor on the 4th Sat. and Sabbath in April next. Q. M. Conference to meet on Friday previous at the same place at 1 o'clock, P. M.
