The WEST-INDIA FLEET, notwithstanding the successive disasters which have befallen it, has at length sailed. But it is hoped, that it will arrive at the place of its destination in so crippled a condition, as will certainly retard, if not wholly defeat its intended operation.

The BRITISH FLEET. is at this moment triumphant, in the Carrabee Ocean, and, as usual in the hour of prosperity. their insolence is insufferable. They impress American seamen, from almost all protections.

It is expected however, that the French at Guadaloupe and Hispaniola, will give these modern innovators, a warm reception. With respect to this last mentioned island. it is said, that the Spaniards are coming out with a large fleet to assist the French in taking possession of that part of it, which was ceded by treaty, to the French Republic.
