ORCHESTRAS PRACTICING FOR CONTEST

Practice time is now welcome to Milwaukee's boy and girl musicians. It means practicing up the old tunes for The Milwaukee Leader Boys and Girls' Band and Orchestra contest to be held at Lake park next month.

And it means a handsome silver trophy for several junior musical organizations.

Easy to Enter.

Any junior band or orchestra organization in the city is eligible to enter the contest, providing its members are 21 years or under.

All that is necessary is that you ask your band or orchestra director to notify the Band and Orchestra contest editor of The Leader stating, first, number of members in the group; second, the number of years the organization has played; third, the ages of the members and fourth, whether the organization is composed of all boys, all girls or both.

Of course, you have heard who the judges are going to be!

They are Fred W. Brunkhorst, director of the Milwaukee Police band; Carl Eppert, director of the Milwaukee Civic orchestra, and Herman A. Zeitz, director of the Milwaukee Musical society.
