The Social Science Savants Finish Up and Adjourn.

CINCINNATI, May 24.--In the general social science union this morning, W. G. Moody, of Boston, read a paper upon the displacement of labor by improvements in machinery, and a debate on the labor question followed. Chas. Remelin, of Cincinnati, presented a paper of great length on the public lands.

The afternoon session opened with a debate on health in schools in the department of social economy. The committee appointed for that purpose made an interesting report on tramps and tramp legislation. Reports were also made on money in relation to the industrious poor, by Elizur Wright, of Boston, and on co-operation in public and private charity, by Rev. A. F. Jenks, Boston. The association then adjourned sine die.
