GOVERNMENT HAS made a beginning towards bringing the Star route mail contractor frauds to justice. A lot of straw bondsmen in Philadelphia have been taken before a United States commissioner, where the facts are being ascertained as to how the fraudulent business is carried on. This movement ought to have the effect of shaking up some of the chaps who have been stealing from government during the past few years, as it is not likely that a few insignificant fellows in Philadelphia will be the only ones punished.
