GETS
A SLIGHTLY
NAUGHTY
ROLE
RADIO and movie producers have always been careful to present
Rosemary Lane in strictly nice girl roles. Now, in the new Broad-
way musical "Best Foot Forward," she is permitted a mild sort
of strip tease. These pictures show how it works out. Besides Miss
Lane, who is a movie queen in the play, and the veteran Marty
May, there are few seasoned actors in the show. George Abbott,
the producer, looked everywhere for fresh youngsters in order to
make the stage college look like a college. The hero, shown in the
last picture with Miss Lane, is Gil Stratton, jr.
1. Invited to a college dance, Rosemary is rushed by undergrads.
2. The boys give up the dancing for souvenirs.
3. Rosemary's date and his robe come to rescue.
