Harrison Stevens Will Not Die on the Gallows on the 16th Inst.

Harrison Stevens will not pay the penalty of the crime of which he has been convicted on the 16th inst. The supreme court will pass upon his trial in the superior court before that event occurs.

Judge Griggs has signed the bill of exceptions, and Clerk Dozier is now preparing the papers to be forwarded to the supreme court. They will probably be mailed now in a day or two.

The supreme court, under the law, will pass upon the case within ten days after the documents in the case are received.
