MINNEAPOLIS, August 17. Col. King presented to the exposition directorate this morning a program for the opening ceremonial as follows: The place and hour of meeting shall be at 2 p. m. at the West hotel, and the order of march shall be as follows: Capt. D. M. Gilmore, marshal of the day; mounted police, Mexican band, president and vice president and board of directors, speaker of the day, Hon. C. K. Davis, and the governor, mayor and city council of Minneapolis, Fort Snelling military band, Brigadier General Ruger and staff, Col. Van Horne and staff, St. Paul city government, mayor and officers, governors of states and territories, state officers and ex-governors of Minnesota, judges of the circuit and district courts of the United States, officers and judges of the supreme court of Minnesota, Danz band, judges of district courts of Hennepin and Ramsey counties, ex-mayors of Minneapolis, senators and representatives in congress from Minnesota, members of the press and other invited guests. The order of exercises at the building is thus: First, music by Mexican band; second, prayer by Bishop Whipple; third, mayor of Minneapolis tendering the hospitality of the city with an address; fourth, presentation of the building by chairman of the building committee, S. C. Gale; fifth, acceptance of the building by President Washburn, and the sending of a telegram to the president of the United States stating the readiness for the formal opening of the exposition, and requesting the starting of machinery by electricity by Mrs. Cleveland; sixth, music by Danz band; seventh, oration by Gov. Davis; eighth, music by the military band from Fort Snelling; ninth, president's reply; tenth, starting machinery by electricity by Mrs. Cleveland, and national salute of thirty-eight guns and music by the Mexican band. The report on program was unanimously adopted.
