LONDON, February 23.-Henry S. Wellcome, who has charge of the American dinner to Stanley, received a letter from the great explorer from Cairo this week.
Stanley writes that he will not be able to come to London until warm weather, as his health is very poor. He is only able to go out very little at present, and his life is made a burden by curiosity seekers.
Stanley's photograph, taken a couple of weeks ago, is that of a prematurely old man. His hair is entirely white and his face looks wasted and careworn.
