HIGH SCHOOL'S CLASSES HELD OVERCROWDED
Total of 386 Students Enrolled at High School, Some Less Than Last Year

ELECT CLASS OFFICERS

A total of 386 students have enrolled in the high school, which at this time last year had a registration of over 400. About 25 more freshmen are expected to enter during the next two weeks, and 15 upper classmen are expected to enter soon. The enrollment by classes is: 120 freshmen, 116 sophomores, 80 juniors, and 70 seniors.

The class rooms are already very much overcrowded, some of the teachers being under the necessity of teaching six classes a day, according to Principal W. F. Bublitz. One class has as yet no teacher, and it will be necessary to have at least one, possibly two, more teachers, to relieve some of the teachers, and to take the class for which there is no teacher.

Election of officers for the various classes yesterday resulted as follows: senior, president, Douglas Lane; vice president, Ernest Penwarden; second vice president, Sidney Register; secretary, Robert Nuessle, treasurer, Paul Parsons; Coach James H. Morrison was chosen advisor. Juniors, president, John Moses, vice president, Arnold Von Hagen; second vice president, Arthur Cayou; secretary, Vernon King, and treasurer, Harold Fitch. Sophomores, president, Ray McGettigan; vice president, Maryls Lahr, second vice president, Sidney Rigler; secretary-treasurer, Jane Byrne; freshmen, president, Fred Landers, vice president, Neil Cameron; second vice president, Thomas Parke; secretary, Grace Livdahl; treasurer, Grace Elness; Misses Cecile Baldwin and Lucille Allen were chosen advisors for the freshmen class, two of the classes not having chosen theirs yet.

Pep editors for each class have not yet been elected. Arrangements have almost been completed for the publication of the first edition of "Pep," Bismarck high school paper, issued twice a month, according to Francis Hillman, editor-in-chief.

Exhibitions of work done in the mechanical drawing and manual arts department of the Bismarck high school, won two first prizes at the Missouri Slope Fair, held at Mandan.
